The Marriage Counseling Blog Gives More Free Advice, Adds New Writers

NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TheMarriageCounselingBlog.com has been publishing free daily marriage advice since it was started in May of 2008, and it now has quadrupled the effort with new licensed therapist bloggers who have jumped to the challenge.

The blog was recently acquired by inlayout, LLC, the New Orleans company that owns the popular marriage advice forums "Talk About Marriage" (http://talkaboutmarriage.com), and The Family & Marriage Counseling Directory (http://family-marriage-counseling.com), both of which were started by owner Chris Hartwell, MSW, a former social worker who lives in New Orleans.

According to Chris, "The Marriage Counseling Blog reaches a lot of people because of its search engine visibility, so I knew that by improving the quality of the content there, we could potentially help out a lot of folks. We have started four new writers in the past week, and each one is a licensed therapist. I'm really excited to see how this goes.  I don't know that there is another blog on the web with this many licensed counselors posting advice on it right now."

The Marriage Counseling Blog covers a lot of issues that are common problems in marriage today, such as infidelity, anxiety and depression, financial problems, finding the right therapist, self-help programs available, and more. It also provides links to therapists available in The Family & Marriage Counseling Directory for visitors who are looking for one-on-one help from a local therapist.

Chris Hartwell, MSW, started The Family & Marriage Counseling Directory in 2003 because there were few directories to find therapists at the time, and none of them were easy to find when people searched for "counseling" related searches on Google, Yahoo, and MSN (at the time). Since that time it has become a popular place for people to find therapists, and also for therapists to promote their practices.
