New SecurityMetrics Vision Reduces Merchant, Acquirer & ISO Liability
SAN DIEGO, May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Merchant security leader SecurityMetrics, Inc., today announced SecurityMetrics Vision(TM), an industry-first network threat sensor designed to help small merchants secure their business networks and comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The product combines internal vulnerability scanning, log analysis, wireless detection and a firewall/router in a small unit requiring virtually no configuration, equipping merchants with easy, low-cost protection against card data theft while addressing key PCI requirements.
The device will cost as little as $99 per month when it ships this month, a fraction of the price of single-purpose tools that cost thousands or tens of thousands of dollars and require extensive technical knowledge and maintenance. It eliminates the need to purchase multiple products and simplifies security management, reporting and specific PCI requirements for smaller merchants who lack the IT staff or resources to deploy expensive and complex solutions.
