"We are look forward to integrating Emotely into our growing product line.  The technology adds HTML5 support at a time web-based games are revolutionizing.  Flash is no longer the only choice for creating sophisticated experiences that run in a web browser.  Allowing our developers to choose HTML5 as an endpoint broadens our reach tremendously," said Chris Allen, President and CTO of Brass Monkey.

With the close of the acquisition, Emotely's founder Francois Laberge becomes Brass Monkey's Chief Innovation Officer, heading up business strategy and technology associated with HTML5 and mobile.  "I'm excited to join the team, and look forward to working with the team to break new ground."

Brass Monkey's software allows developers to turn smart phones into fun and intuitive game controllers to interact with PCs, Macs, Internet-enabled TVs and digital signs.  The experience is similar to playing a game on a console comparable to the Wii.  This revolutionary new feature frees browser- and PC-based games from the confines of the mouse and keyboard.

Similarly, Emotely is a mobile app that turns your phones and tablets into remote controllers for HTML5 games and apps.  The app includes controllers for games, playing movies, playing music, collaborative drawing apps, and slideshow clickers.  Controllers can use all the features of modern phones such as multi-touch, motion controls, geo-location, in-app purchasing, cameras, and more.  Multi-users or multi-players of up to 8 people are supported out of the box.
