BNA Books Announces NEW Mobile Applications for The Law Officer's Pocket Manual, 2010 Edition and BNA's Directory of State and Federal Courts, Judges, and Clerks, 2011 Edition

The mobile applications for these reference guides complement the printed versions and provide additional features that practitioners will find indispensible in the field.
The mobile application for The Law Officer's Pocket Manual, 2011 Edition serves as an on-the-scene version of the guide, which provides legal guidance based on the most recent Supreme Court decisions. The new mobile application makes it possible for officers to access this valuable information instantly from their iPhone®, iPad®, or BlackBerry®. Defensible police practices are presented, with more than 100 practical examples drawn from leading cases. Basic rules of procedure are highlighted in red for quick reference, and examples showing how the rules are applied are provided throughout. The Directory contains listings for 2,133 state courts, 216 federal courts, 16,025 judges, and 5,319 clerks and court administrators in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories. The mobile application makes it easier for practitioners to find courthouses by providing links to maps and to contact judges, clerks, and administrators by providing email addresses and phone numbers. Other mobile features offered include links to court websites and the ability to "favorite" specific officials.
