Glowpoint Completes Acquisition of Assets From Avaya
Acquisition Increases Capacity for Glowpoint's Cloud Managed Video Services
MURRAY HILL, N.J., July 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Glowpoint, Inc. (OTCBB: GLOW), a leading global provider of cloud managed video services, today announced that on June 30, 2011, it completed the transaction (as previously disclosed in its Securities and Exchange Commission filings) to acquire certain assets that Avaya used in its "Managed Service for Video" offering.
Glowpoint issued 769,049 common shares to Avaya as consideration for the assets. The assets acquired include telepresence and video conferencing endpoints and network infrastructure utilized to deliver cloud managed video services for enterprise customers. These assets will be deployed and integrated into Glowpoint's Open Video(TM) cloud architecture to provide enhanced capacity to Glowpoint's Cloud Managed Video Services enterprise customers.
As previously announced, Glowpoint and Avaya entered into a Master Services Agreement to collaborate on the development and delivery of cloud managed video services.
