Enterprise Forum to Launch 2011/2012 Series for Entrepreneurs With Look at Social Media
Only Business Networking Group Dedicated to Fostering Entrepreneurship
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Enterprise Forum (http://www.enterpriseforumpittsburgh.com), Western Pennsylvania's only business networking group dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, said today it will launch its 2011/2012 program series with a look at how social media is impacting business start-ups and emerging companies.
"We are excited to get our new season underway, and particularly with the initial program focused on social media and what it means for young and growing businesses," said Craig Waller, a Pittsburgh patent and intellectual property attorney who was recently elected board chair for the Enterprise Forum. "I doubt there is an entrepreneur anywhere who hasn't wondered if all the hoopla about social media - Facebook, LinkedIn and all the rest - is for real. We'll be looking for real answers at our September 14th forum."
Waller also said that the other events to be produced during the 2011/2012 season will include the Enterprise Forum's highly popular annual "elevator pitch" forum (October 19th), at which local entrepreneurs present their pitches for capital to a panel of experts and audience members. Other topics to be covered at Enterprise Forum events include managing growth, the impact of the Marcellus Shale bonanza on entrepreneurs, new technological tools and others.
"We play a vital role in Western Pennsylvania," Waller noted. "Our programs and events are an opportunity for entrepreneurs to learn, share and network. Our mission is to help them be successful, and in the process to help our region be more prosperous. We're the place where innovators, funders and talent meet, and we have fun along the way."
All Enterprise Forums events are open to business people, students and others with an interest in issues facing entrepreneurs. Working media may request a free media pass.
