The 3D gaming event took place throughout the day as hundreds of gamers and consumers competed in timed preliminary rounds of "N.O.V.A. 3D," one of Gameloft's most popular properties, for the chance to qualify for the final tournament.  In front of a cheering audience at The Rolling Stone LA Lounge, located in the heart of the Hollywood & Highland Center, the top 16 qualifiers battled it out during intense matches of "N.O.V.A. 3D" until Carlos Bautista proved victorious and was named champion, winning a new LG Thrill 4G phone, an LG Infinia 65-inch Cinema 3D 1080p LED HDTV, an LG 3D Wireless Blu-ray player, and a $100 AT&T gift card among other prizes. During the culmination of the tournament, "N.O.V.A." was visually brought to life with a spectacular 3D mapping projection at the Hollywood & Highland Center's central courtyard that brought onlookers into the action.

"As mobile gaming continues to increase in popularity, it was important that LG show how Thrill 4G is not only an incredibly powerful smartphone, but also a premiere handheld gaming device," said Tim O'Brien, vice president of marketing for LG Mobile. "By partnering with revered mobile gaming publisher Gameloft for this gaming event, we were able to effectively engage a large and varied audience to showcase firsthand the many benefits of glasses-free 3D gaming."

The 3D gaming tournament marked the finale of LG's "Bring Your World Alive" campaign, which began in late June during the 3D Entertainment Summit in New York City with a keynote speech delivered by O'Brien. During his speech, O'Brien discussed the ways in which LG Thrill 4G breaks the common barriers of 3D technology, including accessibility, unwanted glasses and lack of content. Following the 3D Summit, LG hosted the "World's First 3D User-Generated Concert" with Jane's Addiction where more than 100 ticket-holders captured 3D video of the event using LG Thrill 4G devices. The footage was transformed into a 60-minute documentary that is currently available on the LG Thrill YouTube 3D channel, youtube.com/comealive.

The ideal handset for on-the-move entertainment enthusiasts, LG Thrill 4G allows users to do it all in 3D - create, share and enjoy content in 3D. Gamers will love it for the 3D games, amateur cameramen will love the ability to create and share in 3D video and customers looking for one of the fastest, most powerful and capable superphones on the market will be delighted by the LG Thrill 4G, which is now available in AT&T company owned retail and online at http://www.wireless.att.com for $99.99 with a two-year contract.
