News Marketing Canada Announces New SmartSource.ca Couponing Site

Successful US Site Expands to Help Canadian Shoppers Save More

TORONTO, Sept. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Less hassle, more savings. That's the idea behind SmartSource.ca, a new savings website dedicated to helping Canadian consumers save more on every shopping trip. SmartSource.com is one of the most popular online couponing sites in the US, with 10 years of experience and millions of coupons redeemed. Until now, Canadian consumers looking to save money on everyday products were mostly limited to coupon inserts in their local paper, the arrival of coupon packs in the mail, or the delayed gratification of third party savings sites.  To provide Canadian families the savings they need when they need them, News Marketing Canada, the company behind the SmartSource brand of consumer savings products and services, has launched a website devoted to providing instantly available printable coupons on hundreds of products, ranging from food items to household goods to electronics, and more.

SmartSource.ca will allow Canadian shoppers to select the coupons they want and instantly print them at home. "Most people don't plan their grocery shopping a week in advance," said Adam North, SVP, News Marketing Canada. "We're trying to be responsive to the way most people live, shop and use coupons - they buy something when they run out of it. SmartSource.ca offers immediate savings for that immediate need."

"Our US site is one of the most-visited online couponing sites on the web because we offer shoppers access to nearly 100 coupon offers at a time, on the grocery and household brands they trust most," said Henri Lellouche, SVP, iGroup. "We are excited and proud to bring that experience to Canada."

The site, which launches today, has a wide range of savings opportunities on brands including Cheerios, Huggies, Irish Spring, Ricola, Snuggle, Splenda and Triaminic and aims to make SmartSource.ca a destination site for Canadian consumers. Offers range from $.50 off a box of Kleenex Cool Touch Tissue to $4.00 off a bottle of Advil Nighttime 40's, with the majority of the offers saving consumers a dollar or more.

Printable coupons are accepted at most retailers, including Loblaw, Shoppers Drug Mart and Walmart.
