Ever Wondered What the Cloud Looks Like or How You Can View Your Favorite Social Media Site

LONDON, October 13, 2011/PRNewswire/ --

INTERXION [http://www.interxion.com ], a leading European provider of
carrier-neutral colocation [http://www.interxion.com/services/colocation ]
data centre services, today released a series of images revealing the inner
workings of its European data centres.

Usually concealed behind the fortress-like protection of mantraps, CCTV,
security guards and biometric scanning, Interxion gave limited access to key
areas across its data centres in order to show how its facilities act as the
technology backbone of some of Europe's most successful businesses.

The data centre images captured in the photographs illustrate different
aspects of high-availability data centre infrastructure, such as power,
cooling, connectivity and security, all of which are essential to ensure
24/7 availability. The infrastructure shown has attracted a number of
customer communities or 'hubs' across the financial, cloud, digital media
and gaming sectors. Interxion's hubs allow businesses to generate revenue by
interconnecting with other customers and building new relationships with
organisations operating in similar sectors while providing them with access
to one of Europe's largest pool of businesses and private customers.

Kevin Dean, CMO at Interxion commented, "Data centres have become
pervasive, touching every facet of our lives. They provide the foundation
that underpins much of our interaction between businesses, with friends and
with family. These images show what it takes to really enable services that
we take for granted, from share trading in the City to IP TV or online music
streaming."
