IP Light's Breakthrough 40G Apodis(TM) Family of OTN Aggregators and Framers Sets a New Bar for OTN ASSPs

Apodis family of OTN Processors integrate up to thirty-two wide-range
IPLightSerdes(TM) and PLLs, eight XFI interfaces, and offer new G.709 OTN

G.709 features, including ODU0 processing, delay measurement and more.
Drawing on unique technology, such as a 1-11G SERDES, integrated jitter
attenuators and a 100G patented OTN switching fabric. Apodis devices deliver
unparalleled functionality, supporting 16 client and 4 line ports.
Targeting backbone, metro, access and enterprise applications, Apodis
ASSPs are the first to support 1 to 40Gbps client services such as
1/10/40GE, STM16/OC48, STM64/OC192, 1/10GFC and OTU0/1/2.

The IPL4001M(TM), the most comprehensive of Apodis' family members, is a
40G, mixed-signal OTN aggregator.
Each IPL4001M is equipped with 16 universal client ports (any rate / any
service) that accept signals in the range of 1-11G, a 100G OTN switching
fabric and four OTU2 line ports.
It incorporates built-in PLLs and jitter attenuators and operates off a
single reference clock.
Apodis ASSPs are ideal for Optical Transport, Access, and Datacom
platforms such as XPonder/Muxponders, Add/Drop multiplexers, P-OTP/MSPPs,
cross-connects, access OLTs and new generation mobile backhaul systems.
Apodis ASSPs are offered in 31x31mm 896 pin FCBGA packages.
IP Light's Apodis Manager(TM) software package allows for rapid
integration of Apodis devices with minimal design effort.
Apodis Manager is operating system agnostic, includes debug tools and
detailed documentation.
The Apodis EVB(TM) is an evaluation board and reference design that can
support OEM R&D efforts.
