SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunrise TelecomĀ® Incorporated (OTC: SRTI), a market-leading provider of test, monitoring and workflow management solutions for cable, telecom, wireless operators, and equipment manufacturers, today announced that the company will be showcasing its award-winning Ethernet test platforms along with IntelliSAM(TM), Sunrise Telecom's ITU-T Y.1564 Carrier Ethernet Service Activation Solution, in booth 128 at Light Reading's Ethernet Expo Americas 2011 in New York City.

In addition, Paul Marshall, Sunrise Telecom's chief technology officer, will participate in a panel at the Expo discussing the cost-saving and revenue-increasing benefits that operators can realize through the deployment of OAM (Operation, Administration and Maintenance) solutions over Ethernet-based networks.

WHAT:As Carrier Ethernet increases in popularity, service providers are under pressure to meet more stringent service level agreements for their customers.  Sunrise Telecom's IntelliSAM, which is the only application able to verify the full bandwidth profile configuration according to the Y.1564 test standard, represents the most desirable set of tests for Carrier Ethernet services in the industry.

The panel discussion will

        Y.1564, and MEF 17
    --  share lessons learned from real-world deployment of OAM solutions
    --  identify practical ways that the industry can speed deployment of OAM to
        help bring down operating costs and drive value-added revenues.
