Acentic Launches SMART Conference Integrated Solution for Hotels
COLOGNE, Germany, February 23, 2012/PRNewswire/ --
Acentic, a leading supplier of broadband systems and digital interactive TV (iTV) for
the hotel industry, announced today the launch of its complete SMART Conference solution,
including the SMART Board(TM) interactive whiteboard system, for hotels to enhance the
interactive collaboration experience of business guests.
The first hotel to utilize Acentic's SMART Conference solution is the Crowne Plaza
London - The City, with further customer installations planned for early 2012 among the
1,100 hotels Acentic serves worldwide.
With the launch of the SMART Conference and Meeting package for hotels, Acentic goes
beyond a simple installation of in-room entertainment and broadband services in guest
rooms. Hotels will see increased revenues from the innovative business models that can be
applied with the new technology, such as bundling of conference services. This includes
the complete technology in conference rooms, such as the SMART Board interactive
whiteboard system, conference landing Internet page, AV technology, public displays and
full engineer support.
With the integration of an exclusive smart whiteboard in the hotel conference areas,
Acentic brings today's innovative touch technology into the meeting room while offering an
all-in-one solution. Bulky flipcharts, external projectors and expensive stationery are no
longer needed, providing delegates with a flexible communication tool that enhances
productivity and interactivity without a significant increase in cost for guests.
Furthermore, SMART Board provides full convergence among all modern devices, including
laptops, tablets and smartphones, for activities such as whiteboarding, web browsing and
