InTechnology Wins Irwin Mitchell's Telephony Contract

HARROGATE, England, March 20, 2012/PRNewswire/ --

Law firm reduces telecoms spend moving from ISDN to SIP Trunks with trusted Cloud
provider

National law firm, Irwin Mitchell, has turned to InTechnology to help bring
significant savings to its telephone calls and lines expenditure and strengthen its
network resilience.

With a workforce of over 2,000 people, the scale of Irwin Mitchell's operations meant
that its telephony costs were a significant overhead. InTechnology identified that the
firm could make considerable savings by migrating its calls and lines over to them and
switching from ISDN to SIP trunks.

Jerry Fisher, senior network specialist at Irwin Mitchell, said: "We were keen to find
a company that, in addition to cost savings, could provide us with the extra resilience
and backup we needed to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations within a
leading national law firm.

"To complement our existing network, InTechnology provided us with additional WAN
services designed to increase network stability and resilience across the organisation.
This brings excellent peace of mind when you're maintaining IT and telecommunications
services for over 2,000 people across the business.

"InTechnology provided us with advanced telephony solutions at an excellent price that
no other providers were able to match. These solutions, combined with the introduction of
SIP trunks, resulted in some excellent savings, allowing us to drive down costs within the
firm and moves us a step closer to delivering VoIP across the business."

The law firm has nine offices across the country so InTechnology designed a phased
roll-out in order to minimise disruption. The first phase saw the implementation of a
backup WAN to support and strengthen Irwin Mitchell's existing infrastructure through 8 x
100mps MPLS fibre circuits. The second and third phases of the programme saw the
full-scale migration of the firm's Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) and Carrier Preselect (CPS)
over to InTechnology which has significantly reduced its telephony expenditure.

Using the network connections implemented in the first phase of the programme,
InTechnology offered 1,000 SIP channels to replace the existing ISDN channels.

Roy Farrow, divisional product director at InTechnology, said: "As a trusted partner,
InTechnology always works closely with its customers to ensure they get a solution
tailored to their needs which results in them being able to get the most out of their
technology systems. <SIP Trunking [http://www.intechnology.co.uk/MainPage.aspx?IDB ]>
offers a host of capabilities above and beyond ISDN30, and as demonstrated with Irwin
Mitchell, there are considerable cost savings to be had. We are delighted to have provided
a solution that has delivered a host of benefits above and beyond their original
expectations."
