Bleacher Report Personalizes Homepage for Sports Fans with Team Stream(TM) Section

Independent Sports Media Site Continues to Invest in Homepage with New Look as Visits Increase 144% Year-Over-Year

SAN FRANCISCO, March 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bleacher Report, one of the fastest-growing sites on the Internet and the Web's fourth largest sports media destination with more than 25 million monthly unique users, today unveiled a more personalized and engaging homepage that incorporates its popular Team Stream(TM) experience with content that gives readers an easy way for them to follow their teams in real time.

With the addition of personalized team coverage to Bleacher Report, the homepage now offers sports fans round-the clock coverage of both the national sports beat and the teams that they're passionate about.  And through this continued investment in the homepage, Bleacher Report is further establishing itself as the premier destination for sports fans looking for team and topic coverage as well as creating a more robust and unique environment for the site's advertising partners, where visits to the homepage are up by 144% from February 2011.

"Bleacher Report's homepage has evolved into a viable alternative to traditional sports publishers, and now we're doubling down on our coverage of teams, which has become a central way that fans follow sports," said David Finocchio, Co-Founder and VP of Content and Product at Bleacher Report.  "And while other sites have become stale, we're making Bleacher Report's homepage the starting point for fans that want to check in on their team as well as the national sports storylines that are making their way around the social web."

Team Coverage Everywhere

Similar to Bleacher Report's Team Stream(TM) App available on iPhone, iPad and Android devices, the Team Stream(TM) section of the homepage provides visitors with up-to-the-minute news on teams and topics from Bleacher Report writers as well as the best stories curated from around the Web.  Content featured on the Team Stream(TM) section of the homepage will be updated in real time.

The new-look homepage will also feature a social module with the trending topics on social media that will allow fans to share content with their friends.  And as part of its "Lineup" section, the site will feature top national sports stories as well as video clips that will be updated throughout the day.
