Leviton Provides New Resources for Integrating Smartphones and Other Devices into a Home Network
New videos and wiring diagrams make it easy to connect to a home entertainment system
BOTHELL, Wash., April 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Leviton today launched a series of new videos, diagrams and equipment lists to help contractors and customers seamlessly integrate iPhone(®) and Android((TM)) smartphones and other media-streaming devices into a home network. The new materials provide detailed information on connecting devices using a set-top box like Roku(®) or Apple TV(®), or through a Wi-Fi connection using an Apple AirPort Express(®) or AirPlay(®)-enabled receiver.
The new wiring scenarios are designed to provide smartphone convenience and connected home performance. Each scenario features a Leviton Structured Media(®) enclosure to serve as the nerve center of the home network - the hub for Internet, video, voice and multi-room audio distribution. From there, Leviton connectivity equipment such as network routers, audio modules and speakers help homeowners integrate and easily share music, videos and photos throughout their entire home network.
