Delivery.com's Android(TM) Application Launches Today

Provides Simple Restaurant and Store Browsing and Mobile Ordering for Android Users

NEW YORK, May 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Delivery.com, an e-commerce platform for ordering from local restaurants and stores, today announced the expansion of its mobile options with the release of the free Delivery.com Android app, designed to enable users to easily order whenever and wherever they are. With more than 10% of Delivery.com orders currently placed on mobile devices, the introduction of the app gives Android users an improved e-commerce experience.

Delivery.com's unique offering of restaurants, grocers, wine and liquor stores and other retailers will be at Android users' finger tips using geo-tagging technology, visually enticing merchant listings and fast ordering on the go.

The Delivery.com Android app makes it possible to order from restaurants and stores with just a few taps. The user enters an address or uses his or her current location to find a list of local restaurants and stores, chooses a merchant, selects and customizes the order, and upon checkout, the delivery or takeout order is sent directly to the merchant. The "sort" feature allows users to quickly scroll through merchants based on their preference, including customer ratings, distance and other filters.

"We are continually expanding our technology platforms to accommodate our Delivery.com users however they spend time online," said Jed Kleckner, CEO of Delivery.com. "With an increasing number of orders coming from our mobile apps, the launching of the Delivery.com Android app was a natural evolution of our mobile offering, and we don't plan to stop there; Delivery.com mobile apps will soon be available for all major platforms."

The new Delivery.com Android app is designed to offer online ordering from restaurants and stores in major U.S. cities, including New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and many more. Android users in these areas will be able to connect with their current accounts and access order history, favorite restaurants and more.

The app is also designed to enable users to customize orders with special instructions and checkout securely with the option to pay by credit, debit or gift card. With every order placed, users will earn Delivery Points(TM), which can be redeemed for gift cards and prizes.

This announcement comes directly following the recent foursquare® API integration into Delivery.com's website, designed to enable users to check in when they order on Delivery.com, sort results by check-ins, as well as read and write tips.
