Southern Californians Can Take Verizon FiOS TV Challenge for Chance to Win Ultimate Fighting Championship Weekend in Las Vegas

NEWBURY PARK, Calif., May 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- To inform Southern Californians that they have an unbeatable choice for their television service, Verizon FiOS TV, the company has developed a new website with the opportunity to win a sweepstakes prize for an Ultimate Fighting Championship weekend valued at $10,500.

The FiOS TV Challenge website, hosted by NFL insider and mixed martial arts trainer Jay Glazer, enables Southern California residents to take the FiOS TV Challenge by visiting the site and watching videos that show FiOS TV's superiority in picture quality, interactivity, mobility and multi-room DVR capabilities.  Contestants will automatically receive one sweepstakes entry for each video that they watch.

Contestants can visit http://tvchallenge.verizon.comto register, watch the videos and take the FiOS TV Challenge.

Verizon will draw one winner on June 23 from among all eligible entries.  The sweepstakes prize consists of a $5,000 check; four round-trip tickets to Las Vegas from Los Angeles International, Burbank, Long Beach or John Wayne airport; ground transportation for four from the Las Vegas airport to a Las Vegas hotel to be determined by Verizon; hotel accommodations for four for two nights; four tickets to the Fan Expo and mixed martial arts Ultimate Fighting Championship 148 on July 7; and dinner for four with Jay Glazer, in either Las Vegas or Los Angeles.

"We recognize that consumers have many options when it comes to choosing a television service," said Kim Cochran, director of marketing for Verizon California.  "The Verizon FiOS TV Challenge is an interactive way to let Southern California residents see for themselves the many benefits of FiOS TV and why a recent survey of 68,000 consumers by Consumer Reports gave FiOS top marks."

To be eligible, entrants must be at least 21 years old and be a legal resident of a Verizon FiOS coverage area in one of the following counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino or Ventura.   For more information about the contest rules, visit http://tvchallenge.verizon.com.
