Preventice is a break-through developer of mobile health applications with an emphasis on remote patient monitoring systems that deliver continuous care. Preventice's cutting-edge solutions allow individuals to remain active and independent while their individual physiologic characteristics are being monitored with a simple and discreet body-worn sensor. Preventice will leverage Qualcomm Life's 2net Platform in order to provide chronic care patients with multiple remote connectivity options.

"Our work with Qualcomm Life supports the Preventice mobile health strategy that focuses on maintaining the critical physician-patient connection," said Jon Otterstatter, co-founder, president and CEO of Preventice. "The Preventice remote monitoring solutions together with the 2net Hub connectivity will not only allow providers to cost-effectively assess their patients' health and behaviors at any time, but it will further facilitate the secure data collection, transport and analysis essential to driving better health care outcomes and lowering costs."

Qualcomm Life's 2net Platform and Hub connects wireless medical devices via cloud-based solutions so that biometric information is easily accessible by device users, their health care providers and caregivers. The 2net Platform and Hub are intended to transfer, store, convert and display medical device data.

"The ability to store comprehensive patient data is an integral part of building mobile health applications and remote patient monitoring systems," said Rick Valencia, vice president and general manager of Qualcomm Life. "We are looking forward to working with Preventice to enhance connectivity and responsiveness of their offerings."
