Toshiba TEC's new e-STUDIO2550CSE Series MFPs are Small but Mighty
CHERTSEY, England, June 12, 2012/PRNewswire/ --
Toshiba TEC UK Imaging Systems has announced its highly anticipated e-STUDIO2550CSE
series A3 colour multifunction products (MFP), which set a new industry benchmark by
offering high-end technology and a compact design at a highly competitive price point.
Part of the company's industry leading Document Manager range, they are the smallest
A3 colour products in their class. Suitable for any type of organisation they can output
in monochrome or colour at printing speeds up to 25 ppm and colour scanning up to 50 ppm.
Online paper capacity can reach up to 2,900 sheets from up to five different paper
sources.
Although small in size these MFPs are big on workflow integration and have web based
services as standard. Toshiba TEC's e-BRIDGE X controller technology supports access to
Google Docs, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Exchange via optional workflow connectors,
while e-Filing functionality offers over 10,000 one-touch templates to help process and
store documents. Other innovative software solutions supported by the e-STUDIO2550CSE
series include Drivve | Image, which streamlines MFP document capturing processes by
creating automated scan profiles with predefined document filing, or flexible scan
profiles with customised indexing.
The protection of confidential and vital information has never has been more important
than it is today and Toshiba's SE models incorporate Toshiba TEC's unique Secure Erase
Drive (SED) technology that makes unauthorised access to information impossible. With
virtually no loss of performance all data is encrypted and, in addition, the SED knows
which device it has been built into and will allow only this system to access the data. If
the SED is removed and connected to another device authentication will fail and the
encryption key is automatically deleted.
Total cost of ownership has been a key objective in developing these exciting new
products, resulting in a reduction in time spent on service, with labour costs greatly
reduced thanks to a simplified service model. The e-STUDIO2550CSE series has been
developed to greatly reduce the down time of the device during maintenance, increasing the
uptime at the customer's site. As well as featuring low power consumption, as part of
Toshiba TEC's Carbon Zero Scheme all carbon emissions produced during the manufacture of
these devices are entirely offset.
