Keeper Launches Major Release of its Password & Data Vault with Cloud Features and Unified Login

CHICAGO, June 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Keeper Security, Inc. launched its latest version of Keeper - the top grossing password and data vault app with over 6 million downloads worldwide. Keeper version 5.0 provides customers with seamless and secure syncing to Keeper's Cloud Security Vault. The Cloud Security Vault leverages Amazon's redundant and scalable infrastructure to provide customers with fast and reliable access to their critical information.

Keeper 5.0 also transitions customers to a unified login across all mobile and desktop platforms, similar to popular services such as DropBox and Evernote.

In addition to Cloud features, Keeper beefed up its data protection by utilizing BCrypt for storage of customer's password hashes. BCrypt is a slow-hashing technique that is difficult to break by traditional brute force and rainbow table attacks. In simple terms, Keeper stepped up its security measures to protect its customers in light of more sophisticated hackers and theft attempts by cyber criminals.

Keeper provides a secure, simple way to store and access passwords and private information - anywhere, anytime.   Keeper's military-grade encryption secures and safeguards passwords and other private information.  Keeper also creates high strength passwords for you, and logs you into websites securely - all from within the mobile application.  Using Keeper's Cloud Security Vault, customers have access to secure cloud storage, recovery and syncing of their information across every mobile and desktop platform.

Keeper 5.0 has been released on all mobile device platforms including iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry. Keeper's desktop software has also been updated for Mac OS and Microsoft Windows platforms. Keeper consistently receives 5-star reviews on iTunes and is one of the most purchased applications in the Utilities category.

Millions of people trust Keeper to protect them on their mobile devices and computers.  Keeper is the world's most downloaded and popular password security apps. Keeper is available for Smartphones, Tablets and PCs - it runs on iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Windows 7/XP/Vista, Mac OS X and Linux operating systems.
