International Data Centre Group (IDC-G) Expands to Latin America, Signs Telconet in Ecuador

LONDON, July 10, 2012/PRNewswire/ --

The International Data Centre Group (IDC-G), the first global data centre alliance,
expands to Latin America with Telconet, the biggest and most advanced data centre operator
in Ecuador.

Based in Quito and Guayaquil, with 1,900 square metres (20,450 square feet) of
technical space, the carrier-neutral Telconet data centres are linked by a completely
redundant and exclusive fibre optic network, completely redundant and exclusive, which
allows for disaster recovery and backup services between diverse sites when required. The
data centres are certified by the Uptime Institute as Tier III, and boast extensive
connectivity within Ecuador and to the rest of the world via high bandwidth international
connections.

"The data centre industry is growing rapidly in emerging markets. We have been seeing
significant demand from our clients in South America and, in a region where demand clearly
exceeds supply, we are delighted to now be able to service clients through a leading
provider such as Telconet," said Guy Willner, Executive Chairman of International Data
Centre Group.

"We have focused on providing network infrastructure services via our robust dark
fibre backbone inside Ecuador, and we are now committed to supporting new growth via data
centre services with the development of world class infrastructure, providing customers a
high level of redundancy with our two data centres. We hope to strengthen IT services in
the region of Ecuador, and we believe that by being part of an international data centre
alliance as prestigious as IDC-G, we achieve the necessary synergies that our market
demands. We hope to strengthen our long-term relationship with IDC-G as we share the
vision of contributing to the positive development of the growing market for modern data
centers in Latin America," said Francisco Villacreses, Commercial Director at Telconet.
