Slacker Radio Expands Artist-Curated and Hosted Stations

Slacker Now Offers 21 Artist Showcases with New Stations Created by Metric, Chiddy Bang and Karmin

SAN DIEGO, July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Slacker, Inc. today launched three additional free Artist Showcase stations to the Slacker Radio service - adding Metric, Chiddy Bang and Karmin to their lineup of now 21 personalized radio stations hosted by well-known and emerging musicians.

Hand-curated and hosted by the artists, Slacker Artist Showcase stations give listeners insight into the musical influences and favorite songs of bands and artists. These stations feature exclusive commentary by the musicians with personal stories of growing up, falling in love, overcoming obstacles and their experiences in the music industry.

Artist Showcase stations feature a diverse and growing array of genres, emphasizing Slacker's dedication to being the ultimate personalized radio and music discovery resource. From chart-topping acts including AFI, Justin Moore, Patrick Stump, Plain White T's and Far East Movement to underground favorites, there is something for every musical taste on Slacker Radio.
