"Hospitals worldwide are looking for new applications to help solve voice and text communication challenges that delay the delivery of care or result in a poor patient experience," said Brent Lang, President and Chief Operating Officer, Vocera Communications. "These new applications expand the Vocera experience beyond the users of the Vocera Communication Badge to those who prefer to bring their own device to share instant voice communication and secure text, alert and alarm delivery."
The new release of the Vocera System software delivers the powerful Vocera Connect application that brings the best of Vocera one-touch communication to the iPhone and Android devices. The Vocera Connect application complements the hands-free Vocera B3000 Communication Badge that allows hospital personnel to communicate instantly from the point of care. With Vocera Connect, care providers can now use their existing device to leverage the intelligent workflow of the Vocera System when working inside or outside of the facility, over a Wi-Fi or a cellular connection.
