NComputing Validates Pearson TestNav(R) for Online Test Delivery

REDWOOD CITY, California, August 7, 2012/PRNewswire/ --

NComputing, [http://www.ncomputing.com ] the world leader in end-to-end desktop
virtualization solutions, today announced that it has formally validated the
industry-leading TestNav online test delivery system from Pearson. NComputing is the first
virtual desktop provider to complete this validation, which enables schools to meet online
testing requirements more easily and affordably. This is particularly important as the
move to online testing is increasingly being mandated by State governments throughout the
U.S.

Said Kavansa Gardner, Director of Information, Communication and Technology Services
for Richmond Public Schools, "Our strategic initiative is to increase access to technology
and learning for our students. NComputing's thin-client solution has enabled us to put
more technology resources in our classrooms as efficiently and cost effectively as
possible. Moreover, NComputing's thin-client products have proven to be capable as we've
moved away from pen and paper testing models to state-required, online testing. The
deployment of Pearson's TestNav onto our thin-client solutions was simple and seamless."

TestNav is the nation's leading, scalable online assessment solution, allowing
education institutions to transition from time-intensive paper-and-pencil testing to
summative online testing, while providing assessment results quickly and accurately.
Pearson works with hundreds of educational customers across the country with contracts for
student testing in 18 states, Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. Pearson TestNav has
delivered more than seven million tests in 2012 alone, while still meeting the most
stringent security requirements for summative, large-scale assessment programs.

"As more and more scholastic testing is required to be done online, the need for a
strategy around academic computing and comprehensive access becomes paramount," said Jay
Mellman, VP of Global Marketing at NComputing. "NComputing customers make far more of
limited budgets and deliver the highest quality computing to students, teachers, and
administrators. Working with Pearson, NComputing helps the online testing experience
proceed smoothly and in a more affordable manner for all customers."

NComputing has a long history in serving educational institutions around the globe
ranging from individual schools to providing the computing infrastructure for entire
states and countries. In taking advantage of NComputing's desktop virtualization
solutions, schools and districts can provide access to shared resources using either high
performance thin clients or on existing PCs with the vSpace Client for Windows. With the
ability to serve as many as 100 users from a single central PC, NComputing customers
greatly increase computer access to users, while reducing hardware and maintenance costs
by 75%.

The validation testing was conducted with TestNav 7.5 and the NComputing vSpace
desktop virtualization solution using the company's L300, M300 and X350/550 access
devices.
