Top 100 Law Firm Lewis Silkin LLP Deploys BA Insight's TotalView for Legal; Intuitive Search Application Maximizes Existing IT Investments
NEW YORK and LONDON, Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- BA Insight, the leader in agile information integration, announced today that London-based law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has purchased and deployed its TotalView for Legal solution, the first packaged search-based business application developed specifically for legal organizations using the Microsoft SharePoint environment.
Lewis Silkin, established in 1952, is a top 100 UK law firm that has standardized on the SharePoint and FAST platforms for all document management. TotalView for Legal replaces a legacy search tool the firm had used for several years. According to Jan Durant, Director of IT & Operations at Lewis Silkin, the firm made the switch in order to lower its Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for enterprise search while adding features such as the ability to index emails stored in its KnowledgeMill file-as-you-go system, the ability to easily display other databases within SharePoint, and document preview.
