Yamaha Generators to Bring Power to University of Georgia Football Season

2012-13 Bulldogs Game Days to Feature Generators for On-Field Equipment, Mobile Phone Charging Stations for Fans

CYPRESS, Calif., Aug. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A.'s outdoor power equipment division announced today a new partnership with the University of Georgia for the 2012-13 Bulldogs football season, powering game day operations and two mobile phone charging stations for fans who want to stay connected. Yamaha will supply UGA with a variety of generators that will be used to power speakers, lights, video equipment and sports communications technology.  With Yamaha's high Environmental Protection Agency ratings and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology, the fans and teams will benefit from a clean, quiet yet powerful energy on game day.

Additionally, Yamaha will sponsor the popular football pre-game radio tailgate show, which has one of the country's largest affiliate lists.

Mobile phone charging stations for stadium visitors will be located outside the stadium at the Tate Plaza radio show location and within the stadium at Gate 6.

"Partnering with an energetic and well-respected football program like Georgia's is a powerful opportunity to prove the quality of our products," said Elliott Schuessler, Yamaha's outdoor power equipment marketing manager.  "We think fans and athletic organizers will be impressed by what they see on game day, and we look forward to continuing this relationship in the future."

UGA will take advantage of Yamaha's EF2000iSC, EF2400iSHC, EF3000iSBE and EF4500iSE inverter generators.  Most visible to Bulldogs fans at the two game day phone charging stations, the EF2000iSC is portable, retro-modern and fitted with Yamaha's most technologically sophisticated muffler to reduce noise. At only 44 pounds, it is easy to transport, meets strict emissions standards and 90 percent of its parts are recyclable.
