KornitĀ® Digital to Showcase Digital Discharge Capabilities with Avalanche DC Pro at Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Expo
Equipped with special discharge ink, the Avalanche DC Pro enables businesses to expand their offerings and introduce a soft hand feel to the digital textile printing marketplace
ROSH-HA'AYIN, Israel, September 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Kornit Digital [http://www.kornit-digital.com ], the leading provider of industrial
and commercial digital printing, pigmented ink and unique chemistry solutions for the
textile industry, will debut the Avalanche DC Pro solution to the North American market at
SGIA Expo 2012, the leading showcase for specialty imaging technology and innovation.
Textile printing businesses seeking to enter the fashion industry can now print on
dark garments without a white layer base, which can create a "thick" feel on the design.
With the Avalanche DC Pro's two additional print heads, a discharge chemical is applied to
remove the dye molecules of the dark garment, providing a smooth base for CMYK and white
printing and creating a great hand feel for the finished product. This solution will
create a differentiated printing experience, helping businesses achieve higher revenue and
shorter turnaround times by using less white ink layers and eliminating the need for a
costly pre-treatment process.
In addition to retaining all key features of the existing Kornit Avalanche solution,
including high production rates, low printing and operation costs and the largest print
area in the market, the Avalanche DC Pro also provides complete control when using the
combination of Oeko-Tex 100 approved discharge and white ink in a print. This unparalleled
flexibility is unprecedented in the digital printing industry.
"The digital discharge advancement in direct-to-garment printing is especially
exciting for Kornit and our customers," said Sarel Ashkenazi, vice president of marketing
and business development at Kornit Digital. "We continue to find new technologies allowing
ourselves and our customers to meet the fashion market's demand for soft hand feel of
finished printed products," The Avalanche DC Pro with its unique combination of discharge
and white ink will enable printing businesses to step into the fashion market and maximize
value and customer satisfaction in this highly demanding segment.
For customers attending the SGIA Expo in October, Kornit will be exhibiting at booth
3013 where attendees will see firsthand the Avalanche DC Pro in action. Customers can also
view demonstrations on the Kornit Storm II and Kornit Breeze. The Storm II, with its
advanced and fully automated system, provides full control of the design and resolution
with its improved capabilities for positioning different media types. The Breeze offers
customers an industrial, yet small, direct-on-garment printer designed to allow garment
decorators to use high-end technology benefits at entry-level costs.
Kornit Digital International Customer Support (ICS) will be demonstrating the
capabilities of the machines and will be available to answer any questions. Current Kornit
Digital customers can take advantage of meeting members of the ICS team present at SGIA
who are familiar with their machines while future customers can learn about the support
services offered by Kornit for all customers and products.
