to the military
electronics company, and will involve training pilots to deal with the more complex
mission scenarios in a simulated environment for the first time in the history of military
aviation. The new technology will allow pilots to go through a comprehensive training
regime, with the company's Aerospace Division Manager stating that its selection "attests
to the trust in Elbit Systems' solutions" capability to deliver.
The company has so far been providing its customers with access to mobile internet via
an enhanced version of traditional WAP browsing, although the announcement of a 3G launch
is expected to secure Roshan's position as the market leader for smartphone devices in the
country. Speaking after the announcement, Karim Khoja, CEO of Roshan, expressed his
delight at the Afghanistan Government's decision, indicating that "3G technology is vital
for economic growth and development in Afghanistan".
Viewers will be able to witness talks from Bill Clinton, President Barack Obama and
Presidential candidate Mitt Romney throughout the meeting, whilst representatives from
LIUN institutions will use social networks to keep those who do not have access to the
live stream up to date. According to LIUN CEO Douglas Becker, the institution is "proud to
be part of this vital mission."
This will be the first time that the Clinton Global Initiative has broadcast its
annual meeting online, with organisers hoping to inspire younger generations to become
involved with their cause.
