Customers could receive up to GBP350 when they trade-in their old Apple
computer's
Currys and PC World, one of the UK's leading electrical retailers, are delighted to
announce the launch of a brand new scheme giving those with old Apple-made desktop and
laptop computers the chance to trade them in for cash!
The scheme, which launches today (Thursday 27th September), encourages owners of
3-year old Apple-made desktops and/or laptops the chance to trade their models in for a
large cashback sum. Even those who may not own an Apple-made computer
[http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/desktop-pc-monitors/desktop-pcs-706-c.html ] are encouraged
to trade-in their old desktops and laptops.*
Currys and PC World hope to promote recycling through the program, persuading
customers to trade in their old computers in order to minimise waste when they finally do
decide to replace their existing models.
So what is on offer?
- Customers will receive GBP350 cashback when they trade in an iMac, Macbook
Air or Macbook Pro
- Customers will receive GBP250 cashback when they trade in a Macbook
- And finally, customers will receive GBP100 when they trade in any-other make
of laptop or desktop.
To take part in the scheme customers must firstly purchase a qualifying MacBook, iMac
or Mac mini from either currys.co.uk or pcworld.co.uk websites.** They are then instructed
to fill out an online claim form, which will help identify whether a model can be
traded-in or not, before sending their old Apple or old computer to a given address
provided by Currys and PC World. The retailer will then forward a cheque to the customer
upon validation- within 30 days.
* Max 3 years for iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or Windows 7 laptops and desktops, 6
years for other laptop and desktop models.
** Trade-in promotion valid on purchases to 25th October 2012 inclusive.
