"When I founded Leah Cooks Kosher, my goal was to share with people something that I love to do, which is creating delicious kosher cuisine. I am proud of the site, especially as an online reference tool for an exclusively kosher-consuming audience. Now, my goal is to develop and expand the Kosher Pantry aspect of LeahCooksKosher.com to feature high-quality kosher products to people that frequent the website for kosher recipe solutions," said Leah Jaffee, CEO of the kosher catering company and website.
Jaffee started her successful Seattle-based kosher catering company over 14 years ago. Her website, LeahCooksKosher.com, presents numerous recipes with supplementary photos for kosher enthusiasts and Jewish cooks alike. These enticing entrees are organized by type, special consideration, and holiday for maximum convenience. Special considerations include gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian dishes that overlap with the 100% kosher recipes. The site also arranges these foods by Jewish-specific holidays including Purim, Chanukah, Yom Kippur, and Shabbat.
The website is now adding a unique page called the Kosher Pantry. The Pantry will sort over 330 kosher foods including both prepared food and ingredients. This creates many possibilities for categories from specific foods like applesauce to broad groups like baby food. The Kosher Pantry will make it easier for consumers to find all the products they are looking for in one convenient place, as it can be difficult to find quality kosher foods without going to multiple stores.
Each item listed in the Pantry will feature the brand name, the name of the product, and a picture. Due to the flexible nature of the Leah Cooks Kosher website, other information can be added at a later time based on certain feedback from site visitors. As it grows, social media links will also be added to more effectively connect consumers to the brands they love. This service is now open to manufacturers looking to showcase their kosher products on a frequented site. They are encouraged to get in early, since products added first will be located at the top of the category and will remain there indefinitely. This means greater exposure for the product. As the page develops, manufacturers will also be able to request their own ad space and upload products for approval.
This visually extensive website, LeahCooksKosher.com, already offers step-by-step photos and videos for many of the recipes. These videos are also on YouTube and can be embedded directly to manufacturers' sites. Users can register to share recipes and comment in the very active social community, with a "Chef of the Week" chosen who receives special attention. The Seattle-based company will also be an exhibitor at this year's Kosherfest in Secaucus, New Jersey on November 13 and 14. Manufacturers can visit Leah at Booth #531 to discuss their Kosher Pantry options, or fill out the contact form on Kosher Lab at http://www.KosherLab.com/LeahCooksKosher.
