TheLadders Brings The Job Search To Grand Central With "Job Central"
-- TheLadders Hosts Free Networking Event to Help NYC Job Seekers Get Back to Work --
NEW YORK, Jan. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --On January 10, 2013, job seekers in the New York metropolitan area are invited to Job Central, an experiential job-search event presented by TheLadders at Grand Central Terminal. The free, one-of-a-kind networking event, hosted by national TV/Radio personality Allison Hagendorf, will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST in Vanderbilt Hall.
Job seekers entering the event will be greeted by TheLadders Job Search Expert Amanda Augustine, who will host presentations throughout the day on topics such as identifying career goals, growing a professional network, and closing the deal. Also, attendees are encouraged to participate in the exclusive speaker series featuring TheLadders CEO and Co-founder Alexandre Douzet, HR representatives from companies such as Spotify and HP, and industry experts, including Executive Coach and author of The YOU Plan, Dr. Woody.
"Today's hiring landscape is much different than it was just five years ago," said Amanda Augustine, Job Search Expert for TheLadders. "Our goal for the Job Central event is to equip today's job seekers with the tools and confidence they need to succeed in this competitive job market."
In addition to educational resources, TheLadders will give away 1,000 three-month Premium memberships, valued in total at $75,000, which provide job seekers with access to almost 30,000 recruiters and employers, the ability to apply to any open job, and a detailed resume critique from one of TheLadders' resume experts. Select attendees will have the opportunity to sit down with talent-acquisition professionals from some of the area's well-known companies and recruiting agencies.
As TheLadders celebrates its 10 years of success, and Grand Central Terminal honors its centennial, Job Central promises to be a historic event of its own, bringing together the best employers, recruiters, and career experts to educate professionals looking to make their next career move.
