Prollie Unveils Social Search & Analytics Across Multiple Platforms
NEW YORK, Jan. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Prollie, a new social media search and analytics platform, today announces that its alpha version is open to the general public. The site's proprietary algorithms and letter-grade analysis help members discover their abilities across various social networks, uncover their passions, and search for like-minded users who want and deserve to be found. Founded by brothers Michael and Red Fabbri in 2011, prollie has been in private alpha mode with industry influencers and enthusiasts since October 2012. Today, the site will unlock its invitation-only restriction and open its alpha version to the public.
"Yesterday's announcement of Facebook's Graph Search shows just how important search will be for social media's future; and how much more work there still is to be done to make the constant stream of information manageable for both consumers and businesses," said prollie CEO Michael Fabbri. "We're excited to be part of this industry shift, and proud to stand apart from the pack because we're network agnostic: prollie analyzes and helps manage results from a variety of social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, and Foursquare."
Prollie assigns a letter grade to each user based on his or her skill level on each network, and provides tips on how to boost grades in each. Its opt-in database suggests experts and influencers in popular topics including travel, food, pets, movies, and even social media itself; and suggests connections to skilled users with similar passions. Search results and grades are presented in a streamlined, easy-to-understand platform that helps organize activity on each network. Thanks to prollie's unique search function, users no longer have to choose between a Google search for third-party information and a Facebook search limited to their own network. Instead, they can rely on recommendations and expertise from skilled users of various networks with similar passions--whether that passion is artisanal coffee, off-the-beaten-path travel, boutique shopping, or the latest zombie show.
