A mere 8% of Americans claim they are successful in achieving their New Year's resolutions (University of Scranton. Journal of Clinical Psychology published Dec. 13, 2012). Android users now have a tool and a dedicated forum for posting their goals, accomplishments and progress with a built-in crowd of supporters to cheer them on, which has been found to greatly increase the likelihood of success.
"With LifeKraze, we want to motivate and support as many people as possible," said co-founder and CTO Michael Brooks, Jr, who has led the design and development of the company's products. "Providing access to the enormous Android community is a key step in that direction and our incredible dev team has built an incredible app to do that."
Founded by a group of former college athletes who wanted to bring that "team environment" online, the LifeKraze community now includes high-profile fitness enthusiasts, such as actor Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), fitness trainer Dolvett Quince (The Biggest Loser), New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper, Founder of "Operation Fitness" and trainer of A-list celebrities, including Al Pacino and Matt Damon, Michael Torchia, American record-holder for longest running streak (44 years of consecutive days of running) Mark Covert and more than a dozen Olympians from last year's games.
LifeKraze is providing its members with the necessary tools to share accomplishments on the go with the new Android app in addition to a completely rebuilt iPhone app.
The LifeKraze Android App features:
-- A natively built tool for a beautiful, custom experience on the Android
platform
-- The ability to share photos and links directly to LifeKraze from any
share-enabled application
-- Optimization for a wide array of screen sizes, including tablets
(Android 2.2 and higher)
The updated iOS App includes:
-- A significantly faster performance: up to 4.5x faster on iPhone 4 and up
to 3.5x faster on iPhone 5 based on recent speed tests
-- A smooth, native experience that has been rebuilt from scratch, entirely
