Speakers Share Their Enthusiasm for The WILD Summit
"I was delighted when the Women's Council approached me to keynote their inaugural WILD Summit event," said Shelly Lazarus, Chairman Emeritus, Ogilvy & Mather. "Encouraging more women to choose the leadership path, regardless of their age, career or industry is good for both women and the economy. The WILD Summit offers a unique venue for women of all stages in their career to gain access to new ideas, people and leadership development strategies. I'm glad to be part of it."
"As one of the founding members of the Women's Council, I am thrilled to be involved in the first annual WILD Summit," said Jane Miller, president and CEO, Charter Baking Company, bakers of Rudi's Organic. "This will be a terrific event to bring together both accomplished and aspiring women leaders in Colorado. By sharing experiences in the panel format, the attendees should leave with valuable advice on key leadership issues. Plus, it should just be fun to be in the presence of so many amazing women. I can't wait!"
"The conversation around developing women as leaders is a critical one, and the WILD Summit connects hundreds of women with business leaders who can inspire, educate and provide much-needed mentorship," said Holly Hamann, co-founder and CMO of BlogFrog. "Books and blogs are great sources of information but nothing is more powerful than meeting inspiring leaders in person and developing a supportive, long-term personal relationship. I am excited that Colorado is hosting and honored to be participating. "
"My entire career has been built on encouraging people to live their dreams and take on WILD challenges," said Wendy Booker, closing presenter at the WILD Summit, and author and motivational speaker. "This unique opportunity to inspire students and women in business to overcome obstacles and reach the top of their personal mountain is a huge honor!"
"We are thrilled at the caliber of speakers we have secured for our inaugural event," said Cindy Carrillo, event chair for the WILD Summit and former chair of the Women's Council. "These are incredible leaders across all facets of industries, career lifecycles and experiences. We expect attendees to find value from their interchanges and knowledge-sharing during our one-day event. It promises to be a truly one-of-a-kind experience that will benefit everyone."
Carrillo says the WILD Summit officially sold out effective last week with more than 350 people expected to attend. She says that based on the great enthusiasm and interest demonstrated by attendees that the WILD Summit will become an ongoing annual event that will continue to bring women together to discuss key issues and trends that affect their everyday lives.
"We are at the brink of creating a unique forum that knows no boundaries for women across all ages, industries and career levels. Women are becoming more influential across every walk of life. The WILD Summit will be there to offer an exchange that addresses ideas, questions and career explorations as women continue on their paths of growth and development."
