National Technical Systems Silicon Valley Facility Now 'One-Stop Shop' For Telecommunications Network Equipment Testing
Adds Fire Testing, Mixed Flow Gas Testing Capabilities to Complete Portfolio of Services, Accreditations for NEBS Compliance Testing
FREMONT, Calif. and NEWARK, Calif., Jan. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- National Technical Systems, Inc. (NTS), a leading provider of testing and engineering services, announced today that NTS Silicon Valley is now completely equipped for comprehensive testing for NEBS compliance. NTS Silicon Valley, which consists of two facilities in Newark, CA and Fremont, CA, located less than one mile apart, has recently added NEBS fire testing and mixed flow gas testing, to complete the capabilities necessary to provide full service NEBS testing local to Silicon Valley. Combined, the two facilities are almost 60,000 square feet of testing space focused on NEBS, Wireless, Commercial, and Medical device testing.
NEBS (Network Equipment Building Systems), developed by Bell Labs in the 1970s, is a set of safety, special and environmental guidelines applied to telecommunications network equipment. NEBS testing includes the key industry requirements for designing and building safe and reliable electronics for telecom network use.
