Spermania: Palestinian Developer Celebrates Father's Day with Provocative Debut
RAMALLAH, Palestine, June 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Palestine's first venture-backed gaming company, PinchPoint, is excited to announce
the launch of "Spermania," an addictive, fun mobile game in which users race a sperm past
acid pools, viruses, bacteria and other sperm to try to fertilize an egg. "Spermania" is
available for free download on major App Stores - just in time for Father's Day.
"Spermania" is based on the only race that really matters--the journey of a brave
little sperm's epic struggle to create life.
In this first pack, players will outsmart the female reproductive system and battle
the forces of the immune system--cunning viruses, sneaky white blood cells and sizzling
acid pools.
Just as in the real-life race, where a sperm's odds are 300-million-to-one, winning
takes stamina and skill. Players will have to master both slow and fast play modes, evade
obstacles, collect vital 'sugars' for energy, and beat out competing sperms to reach the
finish line.
"Spermania" is not just challenging, it's also fun - with clever caricatures and sound
effects and integrated social features. The anticipation of reaching the final goal will
keep players coming back for more.

Part of Palestine's growing startup scene, PinchPoint is the first local gaming
company to secure venture funding. A notoriously challenging industry coupled with the
difficulties of life under occupation are what drive PinchPoint's international ambitions.
"Global gaming markets are already flooded, so if you want to shine, you have to come up
with something outside of the norm," says CEO Khaled Abualkheir. "Being Palestinian, even
life's daily routine demands innovation," he adds.
Based in Ramallah, PinchPoint's five-person team plans to release two full-scale
titles over the next year and six smaller, experimental games developed in weekend
