Calsoft Labs and Ixia Team Up to Address NFV Market

Calsoft Labs (An ALTEN Group Company) selects Ixia to test the performance
and scalability of high performance Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) meant for commercial
NFV deployments
Calsoft Labs, a pioneer in Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined
Networking (SDN) solutions, announced today that it has selected Ixia (NASDAQ: XXIA) as
its test partner for performance and scalability testing of high performance carrier-grade
Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) meant for commercial NFV deployments.
Telecom operators are increasingly looking at NFV to reduce CapEx and OpEx by
leveraging COTS hardware while accelerating the ability to develop and deploy new, revenue
generating services. Calsoft Labs offers a suite of high performance VNFs, NFV
orchestration framework, and systems integration services for NFV implementation by
telecom operators.
With its broad range of network test solutions, Ixia is at the forefront of helping
