Magewell(TM) Releases USB3.0 Driver-Free Dongles New Design
Magewell's extremely popular HDMI and HD/SDI driver-free USB3.0 dongles have a new sleek aluminum case and universal USB connector.
NANJING, China and READING, Pa., April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Nanjing Magewell Electronics Corp. and its North and South American distribution partner Mobile Video Devices, Inc. today announced that Magewell's extremely popular USB3.0 HDMI and HD/SDI dongles have been updated to have a universal USB connector and a sleek silver aluminum case.
Magewell replaces the mini USB3.0 connector with a standard USB3.0 output connector. This change enables the use of a standard universal USB3.0 cable. A silver aluminum housing replaces the former black plastic housing, increasing durability, staying cooler to the touch, and providing a sleek appearance.
Smaller than a credit card, the Magewell dongles are driver-free and truly Plug-and-Play regardless of the user's operating system. They work flawlessly with Windows®, Linux® and Mac® systems. The single channel high definition SDI and HDMI dongles, XI100USBD-SDI and XI100DUSB-HDMI, MSRP $299, support input/output up to 1080p/60. The dongles are shipping at extremely high volume since Mobile Video Devices, Inc. introduced them to the Americas 15 months ago. Their popularity continues to grow exponentially. Magewell and Mobile Video Devices, Inc. will begin shipping the new design by May 1.
