Nod Labs' first product, Nod Ring, is the world's most accurate 3D gesture tracking device utilizing  motion-tracking, touch and tactile input to let users engage with virtually any immersive platform. Today, the company is also introducing Nod Backspin -- the first multiplatform controller designed for VR with low latency, sub-millimeter accuracy hand tracking, and traditional joystick and analog controls.

"The industry is starting to realize the need for an input method beyond game controllers, and we're excited to introduce the solution -- Nod Backspin -- to the world," said Anush Elangovan, Founder and CEO at Nod Labs. "Both Nod Backspin and Nod Ring provide a fully immersive user experience that makes for extraordinarily rich and beautiful experiences in a virtual, augmented or real world."

Nod Backspin and Nod Ring currently support Google Cardboard, Oculus DK2, OSVR HMD, Samsung Gear VR and ZEISS VR One for VR; and the ability to control your 3DR, DJI and Parrot Drones; plus a rich set of other IoT integrations.

"The Nod Ring brings a unique form factor to the VR input landscape, and we're happy to see Nod Labs, a great supporter of OSVR, succeed," said Lau Lee Yang, Senior Director of Business Development for OSVR.

"Nod Labs has a great team and really impressive technology," said Todd Culos, Director and Head of Advanced Planning at HTC. "The Nod Ring allow for a fun, new gaming experience and we are excited to see the continuing innovation in the VR and augmented reality areas."

The Nod Backspin and Nod Ring are on display at E3 booth #5636 and available now for developers at nod.com.
