ioFABRIC Vicinity is a flash-optimized, software-defined storage solution that delivers business agility and cost savings across a multivendor data center. Vicinity features advanced storage automation that unifies existing storage resources, centralizes storage management, simplifies the deployment of flash, and improves storage utilization - delivering application-specific Quality of Service levels. Vicinity provides ongoing cost savings, from creating more life and value from an existing storage infrastructure through sustained intelligent storage growth to significant reduction in IT resource time, for organizations looking to easily manage, monitor, and provision storage.

Flint will be an instructor on Forum D-21 of the Enterprise Storage Track, presenting "Employing Storage QoS to Use Flash Resources Efficiently." He will discuss the next stage of the ongoing software-defined evolution in the data center that will allow users to define what they need from storage and have the software do the rest. Additionally, he will inform how a fully automated, QoS-driven storage fabric that delivers service-based efficiency to the data center can provide long-term cost savings, both in terms of time and money.

ioFABRIC will announce details of its Early Adopter Program at Flash Memory Summit. These Early Adopters will be among the first to leverage Vicinity's unique, cloud-like delivery model for storage with cloud-like value. Additional benefits include a free trial software download, direct connection into product planning and feature prioritization, and introductory pricing.

"After the hard work we've undertaken in developing Vicinity over the past two years, we look forward to its public debut at Flash Memory Summit," said Steven Lamb, co-founder and CEO. "With Vicinity, users can seamlessly add flash to their data centers with no manual migration and the assurance that only their most-important data is using their most-expensive storage media. Exhibiting Vicinity in the ioFABRIC booth, the introduction of our Early Adopter Program, and Andrew's presentation on the Enterprise Storage Design panel are sure to be among the not-to-be-missed attractions at Flash Memory Summit."

Vicinity is packaged by capacity under management as an annual software subscription, with site and perpetual licenses available. Only usable capacity is counted; replicas are excluded. Vicinity will be available through ioFABRIC's reseller and distribution channel, in addition to pre-built appliances with bundled hardware and software. For more information or to become an Early Adopter, interested parties can contact info@iofabric.com.
