LOS ANGELES, June 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Earlier this year, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) introduced UL2272, setting strict new standards for the self-balancing scooter industry. As an industry leader, Swagway, LLC, makers of the original "hands-free smart board," is excited to announce the launch of SWAGTRON, its next generation model of self-balancing scooters. SWAGTRON is the only product to pass UL's original 10-ton battery crush test and UL's rigorous safety testing and includes a new UL classified battery pack. As safety continues to remain a top priority for Swagway, in addition to SWAGTRON's UL2272 and UN38.3 certifications, Swagway, LLC invested its resources into extensive research and development to set a new standard for an unprecedented level of safety and function for the self-balancing scooter industry.
The most impressive feature of SWAGTRON is the patented "SentryShield" battery chamber, which provides multi-layer protection with an airtight aluminum chamber and a state-of-the-art Smart Battery Management System (BMS). This Smart BMS constantly monitors overvoltage, temperature increases, overcharging of the battery, overcurrent and short circuit protection.
In addition to the high quality components and certifications included in prior models, SWAGTRON's T1 and T3 models boast upgraded motor and gear stabilization for sturdier control with downhill traction and high-speed use, movement and battery indicator lights, incombustible exterior shell and foot pedals with improved grip, high grade aluminum wheels with superior traction tires and two different mode options for ease of learning and use - learning mode and standard mode.
