Ricoh rounds out its 9-megapixel lens lineup with new 12mm and 16mm additions
New lenses complete six-piece series providing low-distortion, high-resolution images even at an extremely close range
MALVERN, Pa., Aug. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ricoh USA, Inc. today unveiled its latest 9-megapixel lenses, 12mm and 16mm, to help users capture high-resolution images from within mere millimeters of the lens. Perfect for industrial and professional settings, Ricoh's series of 9-megapixel lenses leverage a floating mechanism to enable low-distortion, high-resolution image capture at all ranges, boasting a point-blank range of 80mm that yields quality superior to close-up extension rigs.

This series of lenses, compatible with 1" format cameras with up to 9-megapixel resolution, rounds out the bottom end of its focal length spectrum with the introduction of the 12mm and 16mm options. These shortened focal-length lenses, with their wide-angle views, are suitable for a wide variety of visual inspection uses including reviewing circuit boards for issues; verifying type on printed matter; inspecting food and pharmaceuticals; and other applications where a wide range of items require careful, close inspection.
