Canon Unveils Five New imageCLASS Laser Multifunction Printers
New Models Provide Several Key Features to Promote Productivity for Students, Home Offices and Small Office Users
MELVILLE, N.Y., Sept. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced that it has refreshed its imageCLASS lineup with the introduction of the MF240/230 Series of multifunction laser printers (MFPs). Building on the quality and reliability of the imageCLASS portfolio, the imageCLASS MF249dw, MF247dw, MF244dw, MF236n and MF232w provide customers, from students to small offices, with compact MFPs that can help increase flexibility and efficiency.

Mobile Enhancements
Improving on the capabilities of respective predecessor models, these new imageCLASS models are designed to provide users with increased mobile functionality. Among the new features for the imageCLASS MF249dw, MF247dw, MF244w and MF232dw, is wireless direct connection, allowing users to easily connect up to five compatible portable computing devices, including tablets, smartphones and laptops, at once without the need for a router. Users of the new MF240/230 series of imageCLASS MFPs can also utilize their Mobile-optimized Remote User Interface to easily check the status and change the settings of the device from mobile devices.
System Enhancements
The imageCLASS MF249dw and MF247dw models feature a Send function, allowing users to easily scan and directly send scanned documents to their email, or network folder without a PC application, helping to save time and streamline workflow. For increased usability, the MF249dw, MF247dw and MF236n feature a tiltable wide-screen touch panel LCD screen, allowing customers to easily navigate through the menu, helping to complete tasks more quickly. With IEEE802.1x, SSL and SNMPv3, all the new models feature enhanced security protocols, for use in more secure office environments.
Availability
The imageCLASS MF249dw, MF247dw, MF244dw, MF236n and MF232dw, are now available through select retailers at minimally advertised prices (MAP) of $299, $249, $199, $199 and $189, respectively.
