The GameStreamer Next-Level Party Jam Event to Kick Off Opening Day of SXSW Music Festival at Shangri-La with 12 Bands Performing at the Venue

AUSTIN, Texas, March 16 -- The new "instant play anywhere" video game digital distribution platform, GameStreamer has commenced brand building at the uber trendy "SXSW" festival by funding a party and band showcase at East Austin's Shangri La venue on the music festival's opening day.

South by Southwest, or SXSW as the festival is known, has become a nationally revered mecca for discovering young talent and attracting an enthusiastic crowd. The GameStreamer showcase party dovetails with the SXSW Interactive fest, which wraps on March 16.

Highlighting the day long jam are 12 bands including Javelin, Das Racist, Tigercity and Beach Fossils who are at the forefront of the burgeoning Brooklyn music scene; Neiliyo from the local Austin scene; Rumspringa from Los Angeles; and Baby Monster from Portland.

"SXSW is fertile with Web-astute gamers and is a very exciting atmosphere in which to spread our word," said GameStreamer's EVP of Marketing Robb Lewis. "People that love music also love games and we think it's a good thing in our industry to sponsor such an upbeat and fun gig."
