GeoLearning Releases 'Tips for Choosing the Best Course Authoring Tool' Podcast
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, June 1 -- GeoLearning, Inc., provider of the leading Software as a Service (SaaS) GeoMaestro(TM) Learning Management System (LMS) and comprehensive Managed Learning Services presents a conversation with Dr. Paul Schneider, senior product manager for course authoring tools at GeoLearning, as the most recent addition to the company's new podcast series.
In the podcast "Tips for Choosing the Best Course Authoring Tool," Schneider discusses questions to ask and steps to take when reviewing e-learning course authoring tools. He recommends asking the following questions at the onset to determine what your organization needs: How many people will be involved? How many courses need to be created? How many audiences are being targeted? What skills are already present on your staff? Can you produce SCORM/AICC-compliant courses?
"There are many of questions you need to answer in order to decide which tool is the best for your organization. You may determine that one tool is not going to serve all your needs. Also, you want to think about what you are building now, and what you might want to build in the future," said Schneider during the discussion with Craig Olson, GeoLearning's director of marketing. The two discussed course authoring tools that produce content that can be launched by the GeoMaestro(TM) LMS and supported by GeoLearning's Managed Learning Services.
