Smile in the two- way mirror of my eyes
I put on my faith like I wear a disguise

I'll sitll love you no matter were we go

I look up at the night sky thinking of you
I think to my self are you looking up at the same night sky as me?
Because i know in my heart that i still love you.

He said "Son, have you seen the world?
Well what would you say if i said that you could?
Just carry this gun, you'll even get paid."
I said "that sounds pretty good."
Black leather boots, spit shine so bright
they cut off my hair but it looks alright
we marched and we sang
we all became friends as we learned how to fight.
a hero of war, yeah that's what i'll be
and when i get back they'll be damn proud of me
i'll carry this flag to the grave if i must
'cause it's the flag that i love and the flag that i trust
i kicked in the door, i yelled my commands
the children they cried, but i got my man
we took him away, a bag over his face
from his family and friends
they took off his clothes, they pissed in his hands
i todl them to stop but then i joined in
we beat him with guns and batons
not just once but again and again
a hero of war, yeah that's what i'll be
and when i get back they'll be damn proud of me

she walked through the bullets and the haze
i asked her to stop, i begged her to stay
but she pressed on
so lifted my gun and i fired away
and the shells jumped through the smoke
and the sand that the blood had now soaked
she collapsed with a flag in her hand
a flag white as snow
a hero of war, is that what they see?
just medals and scars, so damned proud of me
and i brought home that flag, but now it gathers dust
but it's the flag that i love, the only one i trust

Dead to me

This felling i feel.
What is it?
Why do i feel this way?
Now i can see every one
is dead to me the feelings
i had for some one are gone.
I walk this world a lone.
Never to see or feel happy again
To stand alone.
What is this some ones trying to help me why?
No i wont let them there dead to me.
No one can help me it's to late for me now.
I see some one in the darkness with me.
May be just may be i can help them it's not to late for them.
I pull them out of the darkness & in to the light i watch them
as they become happy as i stay in the drak now i'm a lone again
this is the end for me i'm dead now & no one will ever cear.
