Furnishings for you Reefer-heads

As I pondered the guest list for our annual Christmas party tomorrow evening, I realized that I had not gotten my old high school friend (who still thinks it's 1969) a gift. Thinking fast, I whipped up this nice little lamp for him. Finished it off with a cheap shade from Lowes. Whaddayathink???

Lamp seems elegant enough in itself, but the base, depite obviously being wood, seems reminiscent of plastic. Nice lamp, but the base hurts it. =P

very nice lampe. a lital weared but nice.

Thanks for all of the positive remarks. My pothead buddy loved the lamp as did the rest of the party-goers. Now I need to make a lamp for a freind who is an animal groomer. Anyone know how to wire up a dog???
