What does anyone know or have experince with FLEX-RAID ? Tue Mar 15, 2011 12:54:46 PM#150473Perm Link
I just heard about this software today via a tech. support phone call with Time Warner. Has anyone else heard of or checked out Flex-RAID? If you know or have tried or are using this please help me learn so I can figure out what the tech. was saying; he said it was better than the software RAID but I always check this Forum for my advice and recommendations. All information is welcome. Once again I will not be using the firmware on the mobo so please save your keystrokes

I believe it is similar to RAID-Z on ZFS. If that's the case, I wouldn't bother unless you've got a giant beefy system and need ultra redundancy and other factors.
2014 is going to be a good year. More content, more streamlining. Be a part of history!
Thx Aron, I figured that the software RAID 1 in Linux is the best for my simple mirror; I'm reading up on the mdadm and LVM installations as well as the Virtual Box. Cross fingers for mid May build after 2 years of pinching pennies.
