nice article about new linux distro. I like people are keeping linux alive. I think the problem with linux is just like you said, too many flavor and too fragmented, that's why it's hard for a newbie to really learn it as each one has a slightly diff ways in looks and such. I heard of ubuntu before and I think it supports mac as well as pc. I do think that Linux need to improve their interface, it's not bad look but looking at how mac and pc is heading, linux is a bit slow on the side (of course there are some linux distro's out there that looks much better than windows xp).
