A: Vocabulary has nothing to do with lyrical content, as lyrics should convey emotion, mood, or theme to the listener. All vocabulary does is work to enhance the playing field which the writer is working with. Being an artist is hard like that, you have to free yourself to use apathy and the like to convey what you want conveyed. In theory, a vocalist should be able to shout random sounds and be able to convey how he or she is feeling. Vocabulary is a nice asset though.
